This book was recommended to me by Dr. Mário Carreira, Unidade de Epidemiologia do Instituto de Medicina Preventiva e Saúde Pública da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal (Epidemiology Unit of the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, Portugal). As Dr. Mario Carreira mentioned, this book is required reading for any citizen who wishes to be informed. We can do a lot of gymnastics with statistical calculations, without these being wrong. But the informed citizen must be aware of what the publisher wants to convey.
